Challenge #308 - Playing with Polygons
The sketch for Challenge #308, designed by Team Member Heather H., makes use of many 4 sided polygons (shapes, if you don't want to dredge up your geometry days)! Enjoy it, play with those polygons and get creative!
Feel free to rotate or flip the sketch, just keep the integrity of it, so we can recognize it.

Here are some guidelines for the challenge:
- Create any card, scrapbooking page, 3D project or packaging project that fits the challenge.
- Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch and to substitute one shape for another but we must still be able to see the sketch in your finished submission.
- Please include the challenge graphic and link back to the challenge in your blog post. Turn off word verification so we can send you lots of feedback. Make sure you link the post not the whole blog to the Linky. Use #AYSI308 when uploading to a public gallery.

Winners for Challenge #307 - Hasty Hobbies
What fun it was to read your posts about all your different hobbies! So much fun! Nobody claimed Speed Stamping as a hobby though. I wonder why??
Now on to our winners for this challenge!
Our Top Pick is: Suzy Hinton
Suzy just nailed this speed challenge in the most adorable way possible! She used the fortunate die/DSP match to die cut that whimsical knitting llama to use for her focal point, saving big time on stamping and colouring! It's perfect that the llama just happens to have the same hobby Suzy does! Then she prepared a lovely background: Lemon Lolly ink blended on the same colour cardstock with water and black ink splatters, a cute sentiment and some little blossoms of the same colour! Top pick!!

Erin's action-filled design directs the eye straight to the sentiment and leaves no doubt about what her speedy hobby is - skiing! And what she plans to do this Christmas! The Design Team just loved the snow flakes, the action figures and the whole configuration of her card. And Erin's time of 5 minutes and 57 seconds was one of the fastest times in the whole challenge! Even so, she managed to die cut the front panel with a stitched rectangle die! Congratulations, Erin, on being our Featured Artist!

Challenge #307 - Hasty Hobbies
For this challenge we are doing a Speed Stamping Challenge and the theme for the challenge, created by yours truly, is Hobbies! So you are making a card depicting pastimes, maybe your own, maybe your family's, perhaps something other than the obvious one of papercrafting. To get your adrenaline pumping, create a card or other project, in under 10 minutes, that illustrates the theme of hobbies! Please let us know how long it took you to make it in your description.
When we do a speed challenge we are not expecting a detailed masterpiece from you. We want you to have fun and see what you can create in under 10 minutes! You can design it in your head or sketch it out first. You can gather all your supplies ahead of time. But once you start the cutting/stamping/die cutting/embossing /etc. process, you must start the timer!

Winners for Challenge #306 - At the Beach
At the beach is one of my favourite places to be and it feels like that is a common experience for many of you, if your creations are any indication! It was so hard to choose between all those creative expressions, but here are the winners for As You See It Challenge #306:
Our Top Pick is: Suzy Hinton

Suzy's serene beach scene has several layers with unique features that caught the eye of the Design Team. First, the kraft layer underneath has been stamped with shells on one end to add texture and interest, contributed by the linen thread bow. Then there is the water coloured background on the image panel, which is enhanced with sand speckles and grass, as well as a great sentiment. Finally, Suzy added perfectly scaled shells popped up on dimensionals to complete the scene. Well done, Suzy!
Our Featured Artist is: Vicky Hayes
Vicky has also used a water coloured background for her beach scene, but if you look closely, she has added acrylic paint in white and Wink of Stella to create the foam on the waves. The Design Team loved the soft colours and the use of coloured pencils on the shells and gull. Die cutting the scene with a label die and adding to the background really enhanced the professional look of the card and creating the 3D affect with the gull and the shells was great for depth and texture. Congratulations on being our Featured Artist this week, Vicky!
