On the Bias for Challenge #144

Welcome back! I know many of you found our last colour challenge a bit daunting, but I think you're really going to enjoy this sketch by Amanda! See what you can come with! We're looking forward to it with this open-ended inspiration sketch!

Let's take a look at what the Design Team have come up with:

Here are some guidelines for the challenge:

  • Create any card, scrapbooking page, 3D project or packaging   project that fits the challenge.
  • Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch and to substitute one   shape for another but we must still be able to see the sketch   in your finished submission.
  • Please include the challenge graphic and link back to the   challenge in your blog post. Turn off word verification so we   can send you lots of feedback. Make sure you link the post not the whole blog to the Linky. Use #AYSI144 when uploading to a public gallery.
  • If you’re unsure about ‘the rules’, check the details under the Challenge Guidelines tab.

Winners for Challenge #143

Thanks for playing with us during the past two weeks. The colour challenge was just that - challenging, but you were up to the challenge and we received some lovely entries!

But, as always,  we may only pick 2 winners and so here they are:

Our Top Pick is  Heather Heroldt:

Heather incorporated all the colours of the challenge in a natural, pleasing way. It was fun and effective and never looked awkward or forced. She made great use of the layout as well!

And our Featured Artist is Joanne James:

The Design Team were intrigued with the technique Joanne used on this card - Hot Glue Embossing. The colour palette of the challenge made a great watercolour background for the silvery romance of the embossed moonlight! It was a bold move that paid off!

Congratulations to our two winners, and thanks to all of you who entered your treasures! I hope you'll check out our new challenge tomorrow and please share it with your crafty friends! Our winners can pick up their badges on this page and sport them proudly on their blogs or sites.

Sunset Colour Challenge

Welcome to Challenge #143! This time Amanda has a colour challenge for us to work with and it's a beautiful one: think sunset here! These three colours just seem made to work together to create the twilight sky and they just happen to be three of Stampin' Up!'s In Colours this year.

Take a look:

Now, don't worry if you don't have these exact colours. Just pick colours that come as close as possible and have fun with it!

See what the design team have done with this colour palette:

Here are some guidelines for the challenge:

  • Create any card, scrapbooking page, 3D project or packaging   project that fits the challenge.
  • Stampin Up colours are used for reference but any matching colours are welcome. You can use black/neutral for outlines and sentiments but don’t use any other colours.
  • Please include the challenge graphic and link back to the   challenge in your blog post. Turn off word verification so we   can send you lots of feedback. Make sure you link the post not the whole blog to the Linky. Use #AYSI143 when uploading to a public gallery.

Winners for Challenge #142 and a Good-bye Already

Wow! How exciting to see so many of you playing along again! Thank you so much for spreading the word that we are back in action! We loved the level of creativity that this sketch brought out in all of you!

Before we get to our winners this week, we have a sad good-bye to make. Our Design Team member, Amy Ottmers, has had to step down, at least for awhile, and we are certainly sad to see her go, especially so soon after we just got going again, but we wish her all the best and we hope we will be able to enjoy her whimsical designs on our blog again someday soon.

It's getting really hard to choose just two winners!

But our Top Pick this week is: Jen Mitchell

We liked the soft simplicity of Jen's sweet plaid Valentine card with the complimenting designs on the hearts!

And our Featured Artist is: Joanne James

This elegant, but romantic anniversary card was a hit with the all the design team! We loved the combination of neutrals with the delicate doilies and the shiny satin ribbon.

Congratulations to both Joanne and Jen! And thanks to everyone who participated!

Be sure to check back here tomorrow for a brand new challenge! We hope you will play along with us!
