Challenge #299 - Recipe for Framed Flowers in Blue
Our Design Team member, Deborah Wheeler cooked up this recipe challenge and I'm glad she did! There are so many shades of blue to play with! And the frame is a stroke of genius! I can't wait to see what everyone does with that element! This is going to be such a fun challenge!
You have to include all the elements in the recipe on your creation, but how you do that is up to you! Have fun and start your ovens, er...stamp sets!
We are so pleased to welcome our tenth guest designer, Christy Stanford, (who was our Featured Artist on Challenge #297) for this challenge.

Winners for Challenge #298 - New Stuff
This must be the crafter's Christmas Season! Everyone has new stuff that they want to share! Or maybe crafters as a group always have new stuff that they want to share. That's probably closer to the truth. Anyway, this past Fill In The Blank Challenge really struck a chord! We all just love to get and try out and share our new products! Anyway, thank you for your entries! We loved seeing all your great stuff!
Now, I want to introduce you to our winners! Here they are:
Our Top Pick is: Kristin Sluhan
Kristin created this beautiful mosaic piece using a new Starlight Die set. She die cut the die 6 times, including black and black glitter and white, which you can't see. She collected all the tiny pieces, and with the help of spray adhesive, she worked them all back into the framework of the die outline. The painstaking result is stunning, and the white embossed sentiment on black finishes it off to perfection!
Our Featured Artist is: Kelly Schirmer
First of all, look at those yummy colours that Kelly has used! They are so perfect for a birthday cake! The long, slender candles are so distinctive from her new Hip Hip Hooray collection, and, in addition, if you look carefully in the background you'll see sparklers embossed, again from her new products. The Design Team loved the way she added her sentiment on the thin letters to mimic the candles and the way she put the Hooray on vellum so it didn't hide them. This is such an artistically designed card, Kelly! Congratulations!

Challenge #298 - New Stuff
What crafter doesn't get chills at the prospect of adding new products to their crafty stash? And it's that time of year when there is a lot of new product to look at and purchase as well! What's the newest thing in your collection? Make us a card or other project with it and show it off here!
For a Fill in the Blank Challenge, you complete the sentence by filling in the blank, then you make your project based on the words you used to fill in the blank. How would you fill in this blank? Now, take on the challenge of making something amazing with it!

Our first Top Pick is: Lisa K.
Lisa found a really unique way of presenting the colours in the challenge and that was by using plaid dies. These dies overlap in different ways creating differing plaid designs. The one Lisa chose really highlights the colours in a way that lets them complement each other! Thanks for sharing this great idea with us all, Lisa!
Our second Top Pick is: Tenia Nelson
Tenia has presented us with a great study in colour, composition and texture. We love those giant sequins and the mix of vintage and contemporary patterns and images. Tenia is the master of eclectic designs, and once again, delights us with her entry.
Our Featured Artist is: Christy Stanford
As Featured Artist this week, Christy will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! The Design Team loved the attractive way Christy used the four colours, with the yellow, green and blue as the image and the purple for the outline and sentiment. The choice of image was perfect for the layout and the choice of paper in the background really enhanced the whole effect.
