Winners for Challenge #376 - Embossed

It was exciting to find out which are your favourite Embossing Folders! It turns out there were many old favourites, but they all gave beautiful results and you also demonstrated some great techniques using embossing folders as well, so it was educational as well as decorative!

And now... to our winners:

Our Top Pick is: Rosanne Mulhern

top pick

Does anyone remember this lovely stamp set and embossing folder? You can create the most beautiful watercolour country home designs and tin roof backgrounds as Rosanne has done here! The Design Team loved her masterful colouring techniques and the choice of background papers matching the crisp texture of the embossed cardstock! Congratulations, Rosanne on Top Pick!

Our Featured Artist is: Jaydee

I'd venture to say that most of the Design Team was completely charmed by ombre varieties of pasta! This embossing folder is one of the most engaging we've encountered in a while and the way Jaydee has done the ink blending really highlights the content including the whimsical die cuts and punny sentiment! Most of us want to CASE this one! Congratulations on being the Featured Artist, Jaydee !

Challenge #376 - Embossed

How much fun are our Fill in the Blank Challenges? I mean, we give you some mild guidelines, but you get to write in your own parameters! This time, thanks to our team mate, LeAnne, we're writing about Embossing Folders, those little plastic enclosures of magic! Do you remember the first time you used one and the world of crafting effects they opened up to you? Now we're asking you to choose your current favourite one, or your all time favourite, if you still have it! Let us know the name of it by filling in the blank with it, and then make a card with it and post it in our gallery! Have fun with it, and You're Welcome!

Here's the Challenge Banner:

challenge #376

I can hardly wait to find out what the favourite embossing folders of the Design Team are:

Winners for Challenge #370 - Popular Cardable Occasions

It was exciting to find out what kind of cards everyone sends the most of around the world! Birthdays are very popular, but Thank Yous and Hellos, as well as Encouragement are frequently sent as well! I think we can say that the art of sending greeting cards is still alive and well!

And now... to our winners:

Our Top Pick is: Janet Katz

Look at that well-defined 3D embossing that Janet added to her beautiful lavender card front! Isn't that delicious? The team also loved the elegant sentiment tag Janet created for the design and the beautiful, pale violet flower that adorns it! With the large sequins adding a little bling, and the gold tones in the sentiment, Janet has created a true Top Pick design! Congratulations!

Challenge #370 - Popular Cardable Occasions

Some say the tradition of sending a greeting card is dying, or has died. I like to think that it has undergone a change. I think people still like to receive cards, but with the Internet there are all sorts of ways to send people greetings on special occasions, so the compulsory aspect is gone. I think that's a good thing. Those who like to make and send cards can do so for both the giver's and the receiver's mutual enjoyment. Others can send greetings by email or text, or a phone call.  Our challenge this week is a Fill In The Blank Challenge dreamed up by Team Member Heather H. She and your Design Team want to know:

challenge #370

Besides Christmas, what event has you mailing more cards than any other?

And what does the challenge require? Make us a card for that event and post it in our gallery along with your entrance information! In your blog or on your website, tell us with what words you filled in the blank!

Let's see what that event is for our Design Team members:
