Winners for Challenge #370 - Popular Cardable Occasions

It was exciting to find out what kind of cards everyone sends the most of around the world! Birthdays are very popular, but Thank Yous and Hellos, as well as Encouragement are frequently sent as well! I think we can say that the art of sending greeting cards is still alive and well!

And now... to our winners:

Our Top Pick is: Janet Katz

top pick

Look at that well-defined 3D embossing that Janet added to her beautiful lavender card front! Isn't that delicious? The team also loved the elegant sentiment tag Janet created for the design and the beautiful, pale violet flower that adorns it! With the large sequins adding a little bling, and the gold tones in the sentiment, Janet has created a true Top Pick design! Congratulations!

Our Featured Artist is: Carol McFarland

It's fair to say that most of the Design Team was completely charmed by Carol's boutique hotels by the sea Encouragement card! With the cobbled street, white picket fence and black & white striped awnings adorning the pink adobe brick buildings, the Team was blown away by her artistry! Most of us want to CASE this one! Congratulations on being the Featured Artist, Carol!

Challenge #370 - Popular Cardable Occasions

Some say the tradition of sending a greeting card is dying, or has died. I like to think that it has undergone a change. I think people still like to receive cards, but with the Internet there are all sorts of ways to send people greetings on special occasions, so the compulsory aspect is gone. I think that's a good thing. Those who like to make and send cards can do so for both the giver's and the receiver's mutual enjoyment. Others can send greetings by email or text, or a phone call.  Our challenge this week is a Fill In The Blank Challenge dreamed up by Team Member Heather H. She and your Design Team want to know:

challenge #370

Besides Christmas, what event has you mailing more cards than any other?

And what does the challenge require? Make us a card for that event and post it in our gallery along with your entrance information! In your blog or on your website, tell us with what words you filled in the blank!

Let's see what that event is for our Design Team members:

Here are some guidelines for the challenges:

  • Create any card, scrapbooking page, 3D project or packaging project that fits the challenge.
  • Stampin' Up! colours are used for reference but any matching colours are welcome. You can use black/neutral for outlines and sentiments but don’t use any other colours. Make sure you use all the colours in the challenge banner. Neutrals include black, white, vanilla, Crumb Cake.
  • Please include the challenge graphic and link back to the challenge in your blog post. Turn off word verification so we can send you lots of feedback. Make sure you link the post not the whole blog to the Linky. Use AYSI #370 when uploading to a public gallery.
  • You can combine our challenge with up to 3 other compatible challenges.*
  • We do reserve the right to delete, or not consider, entries that do not comply with these guidelines.*

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
