Our Top Pick is: Sandra Strobel

Sandra created a beautifully detailed floral card using the challenge colours! The Design Team loved the different values of the challenge hues used on the flowers, while the background has pure white die cuts. The choice of the peach background sheet with the small polka dots, gives a fragile look to the card, reinforced by the twine bow and the clear embellishments. Congratulations on Top Pick, Sandra!

Our Featured Artist is: Jenny Engelke

As Featured Artist this week, Jenny Engelke will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! Jenny's delicate yet elegant card uses a beautifully stamped and expertly water-coloured floral focal image in foreground.  She enhances that with lots of textures, gold embossing, ink blending and a beautiful gold edged ribbon in a bow!  Congratulations,Jenny, you will be our next Guest Designer for our Recipe Challenge in 2 weeks time. Challenge #351 - Tropical Florals

These hot colours and rich green just scream tropical florals and vegetation to me, how about you? I don't use Melon Mambo often, so this gives me a chance to bring it out again, and Garden Green often only sees a lot of action at Christmas, so a new opportunity for it. But some may see something entirely different, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you see in these colours. And don't forget, by entering, there is a chance you might win the opportunity to be a guest designer for a week with us!

 Amanda made great use of the challenge colours! The soft, pastel bokeh background was subdued but gave depth to the card. We loved the combination of the large florals with combined challenge colours, and the sprinkling of small florals and sequins adding interest! Congratulations on Top Pick, Amanda !

Our Featured Artist is: Christy Stanford

As Featured Artist this week, Christy will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! Christy has made some bold choices for this colour challenge. Her intense  and busy background would be hard to use in most designs but she managed to keep her focal point from being overwhelmed by it with the use of the paper strips from the sketch in the brighter colours! Amanda made great use of the challenge colours! The brighter ones create a great floral focal point, while the more subdued grays give a soothing background. The Design Team really liked the script circle stamped in Smoky Slate for a background design, and the way the sentiment was embossed in white on the basic gray banner for the way it showed up! Congratulations, Amanda!

Our Featured Artist is: Michele Ferguson

As Featured Artist this week, Michele will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! She has made the most beautifully coloured gardenia with our challenge colours! Her colouring skill is amazing! On the white background with the lattice work and the layer of soft gray leaves, the flower has so much depth that our Design Team was blown away! Congratulations, Michele, you will be our next Guest Designer for our Recipe Challenge in 2 weeks time. Challenge #339 - Winter Frost

Happy New Year and welcome back to As You See It Challenges! We are starting the new year off with a colour challenge and, therefore, with a chance to be chosen as a guest designer for our next recipe challenge in about 4 weeks! What a great way to begin 2025! The colours for this challenge were inspired by a frosty photo found by yours truly, Heather C., and they give you a very soft and pretty palette to play with! I can hardly wait to see what you come up with!  Here's your challenge banner:

For Colour Challenge, we want you to use all four colours, and only those colours with the exception of a neutral and white. Neutrals can be black, vanilla or crumb cake. If you don't have the Stampin' Up! colours listed, use colours you have that are closest to them.

The Featured Artist and winner of this challenge will be given an opportunity to work with us as our guest designer in an up-coming Recipe Challenge, so keep that in mind when you enter!

Our Top Pick is: Amanda Mertz

Amanda's entry was unique because she concentrated on the blue instead of the two greens in the trio of colours in the challenge. Her fluffy bear (in a neutral) was the focal point in a sea of white snow and blue sky with snowflakes falling! The little star, the greenery boughs and the beautiful blue ribbons were all highlights in our Top Pick entry! Congratulations, Amanda!

Our Featured Artist is: Annette Elias

As Featured Artist this week, Annette will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! She has made the most creative watercolour complete with texture, then cut into strips and added to the card base! Then she stamped and coloured the focal point bottles with alcohol markers so realistically that you had to look twice to be sure they weren't real!
