Challenge #359 - Recipe for Autumn Florals
There are some varieties of flowers that we associate with fall like asters and chrysanthemums, and colours of flowers like oranges, yellows, and rusts. This next Recipe Challenge puts me in mind of autumn flowers with its colours and elements. It also has one unique element: the frame! What will you use to create that? Remember, you must use all the elements shown here in the banner, in your project, when you do this recipe challenge designed by our team member, Deborah!

It was a little predictable, but sometimes surprising to find out what you favourite things about autumn were, after all, it's such a comforting time of year! It's time for a clean slate, as well, as a new school year starts, and work picks up after summer breaks. Let us introduce the winners of Challenge #358 to you!

Kelly's favourite thing about autumn is Thanksgiving and so she has created a card tribute to the holiday with a lovely fancy fold creation with beautiful oval panels containing beautifully coloured leaves, meaningful sentiments, and glistening highlights! Our Featured Artist is: Sandra Strobel
It's pretty hard to compete with this textural masterpiece by our Featured Artist, Sandra Strobel, whose favourite thing about autumn is pumpkins. Challenge #358 - My Favourite Autumn Things
It's time for a new Fill In The Blank Challenge and this time, our clever Team Mate Deborah is going "Sound of Music" on you, by asking you what your "Favourite Autumn Things" are. Winners for Challenge #357 - Gentle Sunset
We're excited to announce the winners of Challenge #357 because the Featured Artist will be our Guest Designer for the next Recipe Challenge in two weeks! Those Gentle Sunset colours were so delicate and beautiful to experiment with! Your entries reflected that!
Here are the winners for this challenge:
Jolanda created a clean and simple card using the challenge colours even though the main colour was the dark Secret Sea! The Design Team loved the small focal scene using the Challenge colours perfectly and the Cloud Cover matte, which really set it apart! The snowfall texture in the background was the perfect touch. Congrats on winning Top Pick, Jolanda!
Our Featured Artist is: Amanda Mertz
As Featured Artist this week, Amanda will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! Amanda's beautifully designed vista using the challenge colours features such depth and variety. Challenge #357 - Gentle Sunset
What inspires your card making the most? Is it themes, sketches, or colours? Colours are a big influence for me, so I always look forward to our colour challenges! And even more so, since every colour challenge, we get to pick a guest designer for our next recipe challenge! So when you enter this challenge, keep in mind that our Featured Artist will have an opportunity to be our next guest designer! This colour palette is a beautiful combination, designed by team mate Joanne, using 3 of the 5 new In Colours.
And just as a reminder, for our Colour Challenges, you must use all four colours only, except you may also use a neutral plus white. If you don't have the specified Stampin' Up! colours, use the inks you have that are the closest in colour.

We loved the variety of thought and design our sketch brought to the entries for our Rectangles & Circles challenge! We faced the challenge of choosing winners once again.. and we were able to pick winners from among all the beauties entered!

DJ paired autumn leaves with weathered wood and textured ribbon in her Fall design! The colours are wonderful, the texture is delicious and everything combines in a way that made good use of the sketch! The Design Team felt that it all adds up to a worthy Top Pick! Congrats, DJ !
Our Featured Artist is: Jennie Maier

Our winning entry, Jennie, the Featured Artist, has created a sympathy card uses a very soft blue and green plaid in the background that gives such a calming, comforting effect, that it is perfect for a sympathy card. She topped that by using such sweet flower shapes for her circle shapes in coordinating colours of yellows, blues and greens. And the sentiment sets just the right tone. Congratulations on being our Featured Artist, Jennie!

Challenge #356 - Rectangles & Circles
My creativity is at a new low today, hence the brilliant title for this week's sketch challenge! Well, it does the job, doesn't it? Thanks to our former teammate, Jane, we have this interesting sketch combining the two shapes, and it's easier to just show you the challenge banner, isn't it?
As with past sketch challenges, you can flip the sketch on it's side or reverse it, as long as you keep the integrity of the sketch! Feel free to change the shape of the circles as well.
