Winners for Challenge #315 - Vibrant Hues in Nature

We're excited to announce the winners of Challenge #315 because the Featured Artist will be our Guest Designer for the next Recipe Challenge in two weeks! We love to work with our winners! Our entries were unique and artistic and very hard to choose winners from!

Our Top Pick is: Hermien

Hermien's card is a feast for the eyes, it is so richly designed. The Design Team especially loved that fern background and the collage stamping on the notebook page. The limited use of Melon Mambo for narrow frames and for the focal point rose was particularly effective! Congratulations, Hermien! A beautiful card!

 

Our Featured Artist is: Amanda Mertz

As Featured Artist this week, Amanda will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! This is an example of a perfectly balanced colour design! Although there is plenty of each vibrant colour of the challenge in Amanda's design, she has used a couple of techniques to keep them from competing too strongly against each other, First there is enough white space to maintain balance, and secondly, the layer of vellum between the background and the focal area allows the focal florals to stand out, focusing your eyes in one spot. Beautifully done!
