Winners for Challenge #257 - Recipe for a Fall Farm

This week's gallery looked like a page from Country Living Magazine! It was so warm and harvest ready! You all created some beautiful cards with the challenge elements and the Design Team were all impressed by different artists so it was challenging to just pick a few. We did manage to zero in on some winners, though so here they are:

Our Top Pick is: Jolanda Johnstone

Jolanda's lovely combination of warm tones and neutrals gives a cozy feel and great contrast! She has made great use of texture and a variety of die cuts to satisfy all the elements of the recipe challenge! This design just makes you want to pull up a chair in the farmhouse kitchen for a coffee and a chat! Great choice of colour, texture and paper, Jolanda!

Our Featured Artist is: Maria Helena

Maria Helena has so many fabulous elements to her card including the diagonal gingham print paper, the super texture in the background, and the amazing grass and leaf stamps she has used in her sheaf of grasses here. The Design Team thought the colours she used were perfect for this challenge and the font of the sentiment was the perfect touch! Beautiful work!

Winners for Challenge #256

I think as crafters we are all animal lovers too, because our Fill in the Blank Challenge #256 - Zoology, about our favourite animals struck a stamping chord and we had some gorgeous entries this time. Oh, my goodness! Choosing winners was like a photo finish in a horse race or finding the queen in a bee hive! Here they are:

Our Top Pick is: Deborah Wheeler

deborah

Deborah's mastery of masking and watercolour has created a wonderful scene for this dear little cat whose mind is on more than the beautiful scenery behind her. The peaceful palette brings the cat, the birds and the embossed sentiment into perfect focus! What a whimsical scene!

Our Featured Artist is: Stef Perry

stef

Stef has made this party bear just come to life with her masterful copic colouring skills! He pops right off the page! And the colour choices are perfect for bringing the image into sharp focus. The little details like the linen thread from the balloons tucked under the bear's arm and the enamel dots as finishing touches create a fine Featured Artist award winner.
