What a creative mix of colour and design we saw this week. It can be quite difficult to craft when you have to do it using your least used colour, but you all made it look easy! Then the Design Team had the Impossible Mission of choosing winners! It's not easy, but somebody has to do it!!
We were really taken, as a Design Team, with the way Jenny melded the two stamp sets by setting the posies in the coffee mug. It was such a cute detail, and she did such careful, detailed work. Then there was her clever choice of embossing folders to use on her backgrounds, echoing the shape of her flowers and the plaid of the designer paper she used. Thanks for playing along, Jenny!
Vicky's stenciled masterpiece in coral and peach was done using markers with the stencil! With this unique technique, she was able to create this amazingly beautiful image! The love sentiment has such a beautiful font and paired with the text, gets a loving message across! This card embodies how to use your least favourite colour and still come up with a stunning design! Congratulations, Vicky!
And we think you may want to check out the following Honorable Mentions on their sites:
Congratulations to our winners and thanks to everyone who played along! Come and check out our new Recipe Challenge tomorrow morning on our blog! Our winners today can pick up their badges on this page and display them with pride on their blogs or sites.
Colour is such an important part of stamping and papercrafting, and we all have our favourite shades and palettes. Then there are those inkpads and cardstock packages that sit on the shelf collecting dust, because you rarely use them! They are just not your favourites. But which colour has collected the most dust for you? Let us in on it! Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to grit your teeth, and use it in your project!
For a Fill in the Blank Challenge, you complete the sentence by filling in the blank, then you make your project based on the words you used to fill in the blank. How would you fill in this blank? Now, take on the challenge of making something amazing with it!
And make sure to tell us, in your blog post, how you Filled in the Blank!
Which colours do the Design Team members use the least?
Deb does not like using brown, especially with yellow!
Create any card, scrapbooking page, 3D project or packaging project that fits the challenge.
Fill in the blanks with the words that are right for you and then create your project with those words in mind. Tell us, in your blog or on your site, what words you used.
Please include the challenge graphic and link back to the challenge in your blog post. Turn off word verification so we can send you lots of feedback. Make sure you link the post not the whole blog to the Linky. Use AYSI #322when uploading to a public gallery.
