For some of us, creating layers and layers, adding lots of embellishments, distressing and sponging edges, adding ribbon, ink splatters and stamped script is food for the soul. For those who love a clean and simple look, it seems like total overkill! But to each their own and it's nice to provide opportunities for the shabby chic lovers to sponge to their hearts content once in awhile! Thanks to all who entered, whatever style you may prefer!
Here are the winners of Challenge #330:
Our Top Pick is: Sandra Strobel
This vintage style card is an absolute delight! The rich reds and browns served to highlight the wonderful softly sponged fern and those good-enough-to-eat mushroons. The dark sponging at the edges turned it into a perfect nature vignette. Whoever is lucky enough to receive this couldn't help but be delighted. Congratulations, Sandra, on being our Top Pick this week.
Our Featured Artist is: Sandra Strobel
This card was an absolute masterclass in vintage/shabby chic style! The warm tones of brown and gold worked well with the richness of the blues. The softly distressed sheet music provided a charming base for the luscious layers of blue and gold foliage. The wash of blue was a restful spot to highlight the glorious pumpkins. All in all, a vintage delight. I don't know if it's happened before but huge congratulations on being both our Top Pick AND Featured Artist this week!
Congratulations to our winners and thanks to everyone who played along! Come and check out our new Speed Stamping Challenge tomorrow morning on our blog! Our winners today can pick up their badges on this page and display them with pride on their blogs or sites.
Thanks for the pick. Congrats to all the others!
