Arsenic and Old Lace

The latest sketch by Amanda brought that title to mind. It's actually the title of an old play by Joseph Kesselring about a pair of spinster sisters who run a boarding house and have taken to murdering lonely old men with a glass of elderberry wine laced with arsenic. It was later made into a movie starring Cary Grant. Actually, without Arsenic and Old Lace, I might not actually have existed, because my parents met while acting in a local production of that play in Banff, Alberta!

While your designs may not have murderous intentions, I'm sure you're going to kill this challenge!

The Design Team's creations will definitely give you some more inspiration:

  1. Hello Heather: I found your challenge blog through my RETRO RUBBER teammate Jane Knudsen and I love this sketch. I also love that movie, it's one of my old time favorites, and I love the story on how you came to be, thank you for sharing it.
I'm going to give this sketch a try and I will also add your challenge blog to my list of favorites.
