Challenge #383 - Recipe for Fall Ambience
Need a good recipe? I've got one for you today. It's a Recipe for Fall Ambience! Concocted by our Team mate, LeAnne, it's a great way to celebrated the fall and Thanksgiving, which in Canada, where I live, is this weekend! When you do a recipe challenge, you are given 5 elements to include in your design. They must ALL be included in some way in your project, but how you do it is up to you.
Remember our Colour Challenge a couple of weeks ago? Well our Featured Artist from that challenge was given the opportunity to be a guest designer for this challenge. I'd like you to meet Kim:

Here are some guidelines for the challenges:
- Create any card, scrapbooking page, 3D project or packaging project that fits the challenge.
- Stampin' Up! colours are used for reference but any matching colours are welcome. You can use black/neutral for outlines and sentiments but don’t use any other colours. Make sure you use all the colours in the challenge banner. Neutrals include black, white, vanilla, Crumb Cake.
- Please include the challenge graphic and link back to the challenge in your blog post. Turn off word verification so we can send you lots of feedback. Make sure you link the post not the whole blog to the Linky. Use AYSI #382 when uploading to a public gallery.
- You can combine our challenge with up to 3 other compatible challenges.*
- We do reserve the right to delete, or not consider, entries that do not comply with these guidelines.*

It seems that we are all in different stages of our Christmas Card making! Some of us are very well prepared, having been making Christmas cards all year long, now having so many of them in our stashes that we've lost count. Others of us, who enjoy the adrenaline rush of last minute panic are on our first few Christmas cards, and may be pulling a few all-nighters before the season is done! (I know the feeling well! Thank goodness for Hallmark movies!) But no matter how you like doing things, you all like making quality Christmas cards, well worth noting at As You See It!

Take a really good look at the beautiful entry by our Featured Artist this week, Tracy! This gorgeous, pastel embossed Christmas creation was unanimously loved by the Design Team, and can you blame them? Those soft, festive colours in pastel format, the rounded edges of the embossed shapes, and the pops of red and gold, really make this card a feast for the eyes! Challenge #382 - Christmas is A-Comin'
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Christmas is a-comin'! Sooner than we think. In fact, there are only 3 months left. For those who like to send out homemade Christmas cards, that means we only have a couple of months left to get them constructed. How's your list coming along? This is the our Fill In The Blank Challenge this week and Teammate Joanne is asking you: "It's 3 months before Christmas and this will be the _____________ Christmas Card I've made. I don't know what your answer will be, but it can't be any worse than mine. My card will be the first Christmas card I've made this year, so I'd better get a move on if I want to have enough for our friends and family.

Winners for Challenge #381 - High Tech Handsomeness
We're excited to announce the winners of Challenge #381 because the Featured Artist will be our Guest Designer for the next Recipe Challenge on October 9th! Those industrial colours were great to work with and produced some intriguing final results! Check them out!
Here are the winners for this challenge:
Suzy has done a fabulous job with the challenge colours! That race car is perfect for the blues and grays, but the extras like the checkered flags, the tread marks and the spatters in the background really add another layer of excellence to it! Her choice of patterned paper for the background was brilliant, looking almost like tread marks, but drawing the eye to the focal point! What a great shape to use for the sentiment as well! Congratulations on Top Pick, Suzy!
Our Featured Artist is: Kim Findlater
As Featured Artist this week, Kim will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! Kim's beautifully designed Snowflake scene using the challenge colours features great variety and dimension. The Design Team love the blended background and the beautiful Snowflake images in our challenge colours, stamped and die cut, singly and in a border.
