We're full of Christmas Spirit after two weeks of looking at our Christmas in July recipe challenge entries! They inspired us to start thinking of Christmas designs and we're looking forward to Holiday Catalogues! Anyway, we had many beauties to choose from so it was hard, but in the end these three cards were our choices, with a tie for Featured Artist:
Our Top Pick is: Shirley Gentry
The Design Team loved the sweet wintery scene Shirley created using all the elements of the recipe challenge. The white background with the pops of red, green and gold was very effective. We also loved the sense of depth created by the texture of the embossed trees behind the die cut snowbank! Beautiful card, Shirley.
Our first Featured Artist is: Heather Heroldt
We loved Heather's hand stamped and coloured background paper with the swirls and curls of the strings of Christmas lights, peppered with stars. They are so colourful and really convey the sparkle of Christmas! The Design Team found this to be a great design including all the elements in the recipe!
And our second Featured Artist is: Eunice Stoneman
Eunice has created an awesome card that looks like a folded quilt fabric star! The Design Team loved how she layered stars of coordinating colours, patterns and textures. It almost creates an optical illusion! The narrow borders on her paper panels has allowed her to mix patterns with great success! A Christmassy masterpiece!
Congratulations to our winners and thanks to everyone who played along! I hope you'll come back and check out our new theme challenge tomorrow! Our winners can pick up their badges on this page and display them with pride on their blogs or sites.
Thank you, Design Team, for the honor of having my card chosen as one of your Featured Artists for this challenge. Congratulations to Heather for also being chosen Featured Artist and to Shirley for being chosen Top Pick.
