Challenge #367 - Lickedy Split Lavender

Are you prepared for our next challenge, because it's a Speed Challenge - one of our most exciting challenges! It's one that will get your adrenaline pumping and test your dexterity and have you experiencing all the feels in a very short time period! Here's our Challenge Banner:

challenge #367

So the Theme for this Speed Stamping Challenge is Purple! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a project, using the colour purple, in under 10 minutes!  You may plan your project ahead of time, gather your equipment, mount your stamps, etc., but the moment you ink up a stamp, or cut a piece of paper or cardstock, you must start the timer!  Good luck and have fun!

How fast can our Design Team put a purple card together? Let's see:

Winners for Challenge #366 - Candy is Dandy

The Design Team  had so much fun looking at all the entries that came with the Candy Theme! They were all so delicious! It was incredibly hard to choose winners!  And it activated our collective Sweet Tooth!

Here are the winners of Challenge #366!

Our Top Pick is: Deb Horst

top pick

Deb's whimsical creation was such a fun depiction of our theme! The twin lollipops with the polka dot designs echoed the delightful background paper and that punny sentiment really tied everything up with a bow! No, wait.....that was the red and white Baker's Twine around the lollipop sticks! You did such a good job with this challenge, Deb, and your project is definitely Top Pick material! Congratulations!!

featured artist

Our Featured Artist is: Johanna from Lavender House Creation

Johanna created a card that looks just like a beautiful box of top of the line chocolates, from the delicious looking confections themselves, to the luxury look of the "box" they come in, using gold and copper foil! The chocolates even come with sprinkles on them!! More than one of the Design Team had to go on a chocolate hunt after reading about your card!  And how appropriate that it's for a Thank You card for a friend. Congratulations, Johanna, on being this week's Featured Artist!

Winners for Challenge #365 - Rhapsody in Red

The fun part of our job as a Design Team is checking out the blogs of every entry in our challenges and it's especially fun when it's a recipe challenge! Everyone gets exactly the same five elements, but the variety of entries we get is endless AND beautiful! The not-so-fun part of our job is trying to choose winners from amongst those lovely entries, but once again, we bit the bullet and got the job done! Here they are:

Our Top Pick is: Christy Stanford

top pick

Christy took the five elements, and envisioned an Asian design for the Year of the Horse! The rich reds and golds and her great horse stamp all evoke that wonderful imagery! The inside of a Gold Glimmer wreath, that looked like a sunburst to Christy, is the perfect bit of enhancement and draws the eye to the focal point. The torn layers add interest! Congratulations on being our Top Pick, Christy!

And our Featured Artist this week:

Our Featured Artist is: Teresa S.

Teresa, our Featured Artist this week and winner, used the elements of the recipe with creative style. The Design Team particularly loved the arrangement of the die cut flowers and foliage with a wrapping of vellum and a congratulatory tag. The texture and detail on the flowers and foliage is beautiful. It was all displayed within an attractive frame.  A well-earned Featured Artist award!  Congratulations, Teresa!

Challenge #365 - Rhapsody in Red

I'll admit I had Valentines in mind when I created this recipe challenge! I either like my Valentines super simple or over the top and this is an over the top recipe, although it would probably work for super simple, too! But don't hold back. Rhapsody in Red is ready for you to give it all you've got!

challenge #365

For a Recipe Challenge, you can design it any way you like, as long as you've included the 5 elements you see on the Challenge banner! How you do that is up to you.

If you can think back to our last challenge before Christmas, a colour challenge, we said that the winner of that challenge, the Featured Artist, would be the Guest Designer for this challenge. And the winner was Jaydee:

guest designer jaydee

And here's her beautiful card for this Rhapsody in Red recipe challenge:

Now, let's check in with the Design Team and see how they've interpreted the Recipe:
