Winners for Challenge #299 - Recipe for Framed Flowers in Blue

Thanks to all the testers who tried out our Recipe Challenge last week! The wonderful variety of entries we had was incredible. It was interesting to see everyone's interpretation of the word "frame", and those blossoms were gorgeous, as were all the shades of blue! We loved every minute, but we had to duke it out to choose the winners! Now, here are the winners of As You See It Challenge #299:

We had a tie for Top Pick!

Our first Top Pick is: JoAnn B.

top pick 1

JoAnn's lovely textured oval frame caught our eye as did her beautiful blue two-step stamped blooms! She used an embossed background for interest, and that sweet little twine bow at the top of the frame just adds the perfect finishing touch. Beautiful work, JoAnn.

Our second Top Pick is: Sandy C. at carsan_cards21

Sandy's beautiful blooms are stunning and really grab the attention. She's used ink blending to vary the intensity of the colour on her monochromatic bouquet with amazing results. We loved her paper pierced die cut background as well as that sweet little bow on her tag. Sandy, it's a feast for the eyes!

And our Featured Artist this week:

Our first Featured Artist is: Bronwyn Eastly

First of all, the Design Team was intrigued by Bronwyn's double z fold design with a floating window! What an incredible fun fold card that is! Secondly, that frame is so cool and it's mirrored on the sentiment behind it in the window! Last, but not least, those daisy die cuts are embossed and layered and look incredible. We also loved Bronwyn's choice of patterned paper and ribbon! What a gorgeous card and definitely worthy of Featured Artist!

Challenge #299 - Recipe for Framed Flowers in Blue

Our Design Team member, Deborah Wheeler cooked up this recipe challenge and I'm glad she did! There are so many shades of blue to play with! And the frame is a stroke of genius! I can't wait to see what everyone does with that element! This is going to be such a fun challenge!

You have to include all the elements in the recipe on your creation, but how you do that is up to you! Have fun and start your ovens, er...stamp sets!

We are so pleased to welcome our tenth guest designer, Christy Stanford, (who was our Featured Artist on Challenge #297) for this challenge.

  • If you’re unsure about ‘the rules’, check the details under the Challenge Guidelines tab.
  • You can combine our challenge with up to 3 other compatible challenges.
  • We do reserve the right to delete, or not consider, entries that do not comply with these guidelines.
