Winners for Challenge #167 - It's All Perpendicular

Apparently, your right angles were all angled right for this past challenge, because we loved all the entries that came in: flowers and birds, horses, friends and even Santa made an appearance! Tough to choose, but here are our winners:

One Top Pick is: Char Crawford

Char had a great colour combination in her lovely card, and we liked the way she echoed the flowers in the background paper with the cut outs on the front. We especially loved the little twist on the theme she added, with the tilted frame around her sentiment!

And our Featured Artist is: JoMo

The Design Team loved all the layers and the colours in JoMo's design! The navy allows the pastels to pop and grounds the card's components so well! The combination of stamped and die cut elements for the vertical pieces of the sketch was an awesome move!

Congratulations to our winners and thanks to everyone who played along! I hope you'll come back and check out our new sketch challenge tomorrow! Our winners can pick up their badges on this page and display them with pride on their blogs or sites.

Challenge #167 - It's All Perpendicular

Amanda has given us an amazing sketch to work with for Challenge #167 and we hope you love it as much as we do! I remember learning about perpendicular lines in geometry and how satisfying they were, forming right angles with each other. So enjoy these perpendicular formations and have fun with the angles and remember that you can use your creative license a bit here as long as we can see the original sketch in your work.

See how the Design Team saw it:

Here are some guidelines for the challenge:

  • Create any card, scrapbooking page, 3D project or packaging   project that fits the challenge.
  • Feel free to flip or rotate the sketch and to substitute one   shape for another but we must still be able to see the sketch   in your finished submission.
  • Please include the challenge graphic and link back to the   challenge in your blog post. Turn off word verification so we   can send you lots of feedback. Make sure you link the post not the whole blog to the Linky. Use #AYSI167 when uploading to a public gallery.
  • If you’re unsure about ‘the rules’, check the details under the Challenge Guidelines tab.
