Challenge #310 - Vellum Favourites
Vellum: one of the most versatile and lovely materials we crafters get to play with! Have you used vellum much? Do you have a favourite technique you like to use it with? If so, then you will want to play along with As You See It Challenges #310 today, brought to you by yours truly!
For a Fill in the Blank Challenge, you complete the sentence by filling in the blank, then you make your project based on the words you used to fill in the blank. How would you fill in this blank? Now, take on the challenge of making something amazing with it!

Heather C.'s favourite thing to do with vellum is to make blended alcohol ink backgrounds on it..
Heather H. loves to use it as a floating panel over gorgeous DSP!!
Jan's favourite thing is to dry emboss it.

That textured pumpkin really stole the show in LeAnne's stunning fall tribute. The large blocks of colour, and the texture in the background created a perfect backdrop to display it! The design team loved the cute sentiment as well! Congratulations, LeAnne!

As Featured Artist this week, Jennie will also be invited to be our next Guest Designer! The Design Team loved everything, from the rusty red truck to the stenciled plaid background, to the whole masculine vibe of the design! You hit the jackpot with every choice you made!

Challenge #309 - Cozy
We have a couple of cozy, warm colours for you to play with this time, and along with white and a neutral, they will make you want to curl up under a down comforter! There are many ways these colours could be used! We're excited to see what you do with them!
Each time we have a colour challenge, the Featured Artist will have a chance to become a Guest Designer for our next Recipe Challenge 4 weeks from now. So enter with that in mind! We're so excited to work with you for a challenge!!
Remember, if you don't have the Stampin' Up! colours, use the colours you have that are the closest. Your project should use all these colours only and 1 neutral of your choice.
How did the Design Team use these colours this week?
Here are some guidelines for the challenge:
- Create any card, scrapbooking page, 3D project or packaging project that fits the challenge.
- Stampin' Up! colours are used for reference but any matching colours are welcome. You can use black/neutral for outlines and sentiments but don’t use any other colours. Make sure you use all the colours in the challenge banner. Neutrals include black, white, vanilla, Crumb Cake.
- Please include the challenge graphic and link back to the challenge in your blog post. Turn off word verification so we can send you lots of feedback. Make sure you link the post not the whole blog to the Linky. Use #AYSI 309 when uploading to a public gallery.

Our sketch challenges aim to give you a framework to enhance your creativity! We love seeing what you do with each element of the sketch and how creatively you fill the requirements of the challenge! This week, we had some lovely designs, with lots of fall gorgeousness!

You might want to check out the beautiful watercolouring and fussing cutting of Lee Ann's floral image in this beautiful card! It's masterful!! She also created a great background using orange colour burst powder and that slip of sheet music just suits the sentiment so well! What a vibrantly crafted card! Congratulations!

Maggie's stenciled fall florals have created such a warm and welcoming bouquet. There's just something about stenciled images that you can't recreate with stamps! The Design Team loved that she paired the die-cut bouquet with the earthy plaid background paper, and that the vertical rectangle element of the sketch was full of texture for added interest! The bold die cut gold sentiment was a perfect addition which paired beautifully with the gold embossed on black. This was a real WOW!! card, Maggie! Congratulations for being chosen Featured Artist and ultimate winner of this challenge!
